About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Associate receives, inspects, and records inbound shipments of material and products, and prepares, inspects, and loads outbound shipments. The Shipping & Receiving Associate at NPSG Global works in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-moving manufacturing environment where safety and quality are of the highest priority.

Requirements

  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to research information concerning OS&D’s.
  • Possess basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Possess adequate clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as a self-motivated, collaborative team player, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.
  • Must wear steel-toed shoes.
  • Normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and normal hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
  • Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 40 to 50 pounds consecutively.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Prefer 1 year of flatbed experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
  • Handle all aspects of the inbound process from receipts to directing the put-aways and checking contents to ensure they match the orders.
  • Audit receipts and report any discrepancies.
  • Communicate with Shipping & Receiving Lead on all upper-level shipping responsibilities.
  • Completes local deliveries as assigned.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to work 40-50+ hour work weeks, dependent on production needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain 7S in the workspace.
