About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Associate I to manage shipping/receiving responsibilities as defined, to ensure accurate data entry and transactions, and product and material movement in and out of the site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to operate a forklift (Stand-up, and sit down), pallet jack, plastic bander and shrink wrap machine Operate the scale for packaging Ability to operate basic Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook Identify racking locations and clearances Sort, count, package, and label shipments Maintain department database, and access paperwork and documentation as needed Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives Run reports to identify items that need to be shipped out Provide purchasing with reports related to outside processing shipments Enter shipments for small shipment carriers (FedEx & UPS) Book pickups in accordance with customer guidelines Properly load trucks according to weight restrictions and load balancing Use ERP system to locate parts, receive against PO’s, scan in documents, complete labor on WO’s and run receiving related reports Ensure that certs match BOL paperwork, and that all certs are present and scanned for required items Use quality measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers and contact Quality for maintenance and calibration Perform quality checks on material and/or items and notify correct departments if there are any discrepancies or questions Load and unload trucks inside and outside the building Transfer wood skids to outside receiving and load onto standard trailer when they are picked up Receive VMI items Transfer material to appropriate skids to optimize space and reduce damage Reject non-conforming items/material in the system Identify racking locations and clearances Ability to recognize different types of material Sort, verify count, package, and label material/items Combine like materials/items and organize inventory locations based on the best use of space and ease of locating Communicate with purchasing with any questions or discrepancies on PO’s

Requirements

  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
  • Attention to detail and quality

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
