About The Position

Shipping and Inventory Control Specialist Where you'll work: Trace Analytics, 15768 Hamilton Pool Rd., Dripping Springs, TX 78738 Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM CST Is this you? Do you thrive on keeping shipments precise, documented, and on time? Do you enjoy preparing lab testing kits with meticulous quality checks? Are you energized by collaborating with buyers, schedulers, and shipping teammates to keep inventory accurate? Do you like working with tools, moving materials, and solving problems on the floor? What you'll do Receive, unpack, and verify inbound materials against manifests, invoices, and orders; document discrepancies. Assemble, address, stamp, and ship materials and laboratory kits with robust quality control. Create work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders; record shipment data (weights, charges, space use, damages). Choose shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates; arrange transportation. Deliver/route materials internally using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage using hand tools, power tools, and a postage meter. Support inventory integrity by partnering with buyers, schedulers, and the shipping team; cross-train and assist other areas. Raise issues and share solution ideas with the shipping lead and supervisor; perform other duties as assigned. Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment such as tape measures, hammers, nail guns, pneumatic crimpers, hoists, and banding tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (equivalent)
  • 1+ year in shipping
  • 1+ year in assembly or material handling
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and stand for most of the shift
  • Great attention to detail; strong multitasking and prioritization
  • Computer literacy: data entry and keyboarding
