About The Position

The Shipping Administrator plays a vital role in supporting daily shipping operations and coordinating communication between manufacturing, logistics, and transportation partners. This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties, forecasting shipping needs based on production schedules, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation of all shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast production schedules based on sales demands to align with shipping and manufacturing needs.
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing, printing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records both manually and electronically.
  • Track and monitor current and past shipments to ensure precise documentation and inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate professionally with carriers and drivers via phone and email to schedule pickups and respond to inquiries regarding loads.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with production, warehouse, and sales teams to support business objectives.
  • Process shipments through Trans4m, utilizing multiple software systems to fulfill sales obligations and support just-in-time manufacturing (including BOL and label processing).
  • Analyze data and evaluate results to identify and implement effective solutions to logistical challenges.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the logistics and manufacturing teams.
