About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for coordinating with shipboard and shoreside constituents in order to assist crew members with their direct and fringe benefits. Communicates updates and changes to policies, benefits and other human resources matters to all affected crew.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field of study; or any relevant equivalent work experience, training, skills and/or certifications.
  • 1-year Human Resources, personnel management, office management or other related experience is required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Advanced level of English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in the maritime or hospitality industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of unemployment requests. Complete unemployment forms for the Hawaii unemployment office via the unemployment online portal. Perform reviews of employment/wage verification for payment.
  • Log determination letters, claim letters received/submitted, and requested hearings. Schedule hearings, which include consolidation of designated documentation pertaining to hearing.
  • Provide administrative support for the Comp Request benefit program which allows crew members to request a guest to stay onboard during their contract. Duties include verification of eligibility.
  • Order office supplies for the Shipboard Talent Management Department. Additionally, act as purchasing liaison for HR materials sent to all vessels, coordinating shipments with Logistics department. .
  • Perform verification of monthly crew lotto reconciliations with onboard personnel and designated vendor.
  • Administer the Service Award program for Regent, Oceania and NCL crew members. Run eligibility reports based on seniority and perform hire date discrepancy validations. Assist with package reroutes, mailbox maintenance, invoicing, logging of missing award requests and obtain appropriate approvals fleet wide.
  • Manage general PeopleSoft administration duties as requested.
  • Act as liaison for the Payroll department regarding payouts, and check issuance.
  • Manage internal mailbox responding to all inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
