About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations during an assigned shift. This role supervises Group Leaders and Production Technicians to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior supervisory or lead experience required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete accurate and thorough documentation.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support Group Leaders and Production Technicians during the assigned shift.
Coordinate with the Production Manager and Production Control to execute production schedules and ensure timely completion of daily goals.
Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained to support efficient and uninterrupted production.
Promote efficient and cost-effective use of materials, continuous process improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
Cross-train Group Leaders to ensure coverage and operational flexibility across the shift.
Oversee the use, accuracy, and updating of Standard Operating Sheets (SOS).
Recommend and support scrap reduction and cost-saving initiatives.
Train employees on equipment operation, job responsibilities, and safety procedures, or assign training to qualified team members.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of production lines and equipment in accordance with 5S standards.
Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and staffing needs for the shift.
Participate in performance management activities, including evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and wage recommendations.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, 5S practices, and applicable regulatory and customer requirements.
