This position involves aiding individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues by establishing open lines of communication and implementing house rules. Key responsibilities include transporting clients, collaborating with additional treatment providers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. The Shift Supervisor acts as a liaison between clinical and housing staff, maintaining open communication across teams. The role also supports the Program Manager with monthly binder updates, audits, fire drills, and facility inspections, as well as assisting with the orientation and training of new hire CAs. The supervisor is responsible for finding coverage for call-outs and establishing shift structures. This role requires attending mandatory virtual meetings outside of scheduled shifts (which are paid) and demonstrating exceptional client communication and de-escalation skills. The supervisor is expected to work well with others, offer training support to other CAs, and assist the Program Manager in maintaining the environment of care, ensuring supplies are stocked, and the facility meets Avery's House standards. The Shift Supervisor serves as a direct contact for housing staff, working closely with the Program Manager.
