About The Position

This position involves aiding individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues by establishing open lines of communication and implementing house rules. Key responsibilities include transporting clients, collaborating with additional treatment providers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. The Shift Supervisor acts as a liaison between clinical and housing staff, maintaining open communication across teams. The role also supports the Program Manager with monthly binder updates, audits, fire drills, and facility inspections, as well as assisting with the orientation and training of new hire CAs. The supervisor is responsible for finding coverage for call-outs and establishing shift structures. This role requires attending mandatory virtual meetings outside of scheduled shifts (which are paid) and demonstrating exceptional client communication and de-escalation skills. The supervisor is expected to work well with others, offer training support to other CAs, and assist the Program Manager in maintaining the environment of care, ensuring supplies are stocked, and the facility meets Avery's House standards. The Shift Supervisor serves as a direct contact for housing staff, working closely with the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must pass drug screening.
  • Must be able to climb up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
  • At least 2 years of behavioral health experience.
  • High school or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (preferred- will be required to obtain)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
  • Current TB test (will be required to obtain)
  • Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Act as a Liaison for clinical & housing staff. Keeping communication open between the clinical team, daytime housing staff, and nighttime housing staff.
  • Assisting Program Manager with Monthly Binder Updates and Audits/Fire Drills/and Facility Inspections

  • Flexible schedule and PRN availability.
  • Assisting in finding coverage for call outs.
  • Establishing a shift structure for assigned shifts.
  • Must attend mandatory meetings virtually if they are outside of your scheduled shifts (paid).
  • Demonstrates an exceptional ability for client communication and de-escalation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well with others and offer additional training support if it is needed for other CA's
