With a global value chain that includes more than 500 crop procurement locations, 270 ingredient manufacturing facilities, 44 innovation centers and the world's premier crop transportation network, we connect the harvest to the home, making products for food, animal feed, chemical and energy uses Position Summary The Shift Supervisor works on a rotating shift schedule and will supervise the daily activities of safety, quality, and production procedures, as well as, lead colleagues in all aspects of production during his/her respective shift.

Requirements

  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture
  • Full compliance with all Employee Safety and Food Safety laws, regulations and rules of Golden Peanut Company and ADM
  • Role requires 2-5 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing/Production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/or electrical aptitude a plus
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing flow processes, controls and procedures
  • Ability to understand, develop and manage production schedules and target dates
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to climb and work in high areas
  • Must demonstrate high-level of problem solving and team working skills
  • High level of Organizational and Inter-personal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Pest Control License preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts of the Color Sorters
  • Assist the team with Safety, Quality, and Maintenance Projects
  • Provide support for Continuous Improvement (Plant loss, yield, Reliability, Training)
  • Aide in maintaining supplies for the plant – Work with approved suppliers to ensure adequate supplies on hand for sanitation, restrooms etc.
  • Responsible for all related operations of manufacturing facility
  • Understand, maintain, evaluate and improve Process Controls
  • Maintain and improve product quality control and assurance standards
  • Maintain cost control, maximize productivity, minimize waste
  • Motivate, train, develop and lead production personnel on rotating shifts
  • Coordinate production schedules with team members
  • Communication of essential information to all parties concerned
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks/assignments
  • Further responsibilities include working cooperatively with sales, production, administrative and management teams
