About The Position

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their men's shellter in Brooklyn. This position is located at 1 000 Blake Avenue Brooklyn NY 11208. SCOPE OF ROLE: The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to residential aides and community coordinators. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. May also be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility
• Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required.
• Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special need’s population is required.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• F-80 ( Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm System s ) is required within 6 months of employment
