About The Position

This is a second shift position. EVS hospital experience is preferred. Supervises and coordinates the daily operations for fitness center staff. Possesses a working knowledge of exercise regimens and program. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, position is responsible for management of fitness center members and their exercise program. Manages the direction of the staff working in the Fitness Center. Assists Director of Rehab/Fitness with daily operational processes, departmental goals, objectives, benchmarks, performance improvement, human resources, and marketing. Teaches exercise classes, administering fitness testing and develops exercise prescriptions for members and patients within the continuum of care. The Environmental Services Shift Supervisor directly oversees the activities of assigned Environmental Services staff to ensure that assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with requisite standards of quality and safety. The Supervisor also assumes responsibility for care of equipment, control of supplies, and counseling of employees. Responsible for making decisions regarding staffing of EVS personnel for appropriate shift to ensure adequate coverage.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 year previous Environmental Services and/or healthcare experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience Preferred
  • Equivalent education may be substituted for experience Preferred
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont’s Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program Policy 3500 Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • EVS hospital experience is preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree highly Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly Preferred
  • Registered/Certified Executive Housekeeper (REH/CEH) Preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) Preferred
