About The Position

Ability to perform any electrical and mechanical repairs on all Extruders and
Thermoformers as required for production requirements. Must be familiar with all
facets and procedures of plant operations and will be expected to diagnose and
repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum of
supervision using the provided schematics and drawings.

Requirements

• Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent certification or experience on the job, manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience would be good.
• Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full complement of tools to enable him to perform his normal duties
• Able to break down and set up for all Thermoforming product on machinery to the standards set for cycle and quality and be able to clean and prepare all tooling for set up.
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing plant equipment entirely on his own, without supervision
• Excellent understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
• Familiar with all facets and procedures of plant operations
• Strong industrial mechanical and some electrical background with formal training which include theory and reading of schematics
• Maintain the necessary hand tools needed to perform job duties in a productive manner
• Capable of keeping accurate records of work performed
• Perform work in a safe manner to personnel and equipment
• Able to use a fire extinguisher
• Get assistance to resolve any issues to get machine back in operation
• Well rounded knowledge of quality of all products
• Housekeeping, must keep all areas free of debris
• Compliance with all facility rules and regulations.
• Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their Supervisor.
• Maintain floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow employees, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities.
• Communicate to Management those employees who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)/properly and reporting any defective PPE.
• Report all near misses, accidents, injuries, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders.
