Requirements

  • 2–3 years of work experience.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
  • Strong communication and team building skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team with a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Provide clear direction to team members and assist with various store operations including food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling.
  • Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to Co-Manager or General Manager when necessary.
  • Train and guide the team to meet RaceTrac’s guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure proper execution of inventory control, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
  • Oversee key store processes such as write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
  • Effectively relay important updates from the leadership team to shift associates.
  • Monitor task completion and provide immediate feedback to drive results, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork.
  • Proactively assist during busy times or challenges, demonstrating strong leadership.
  • Ensure the team is well-informed about current and upcoming food promotions and shares this information with guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure staff compliance with all RaceTrac policies and relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular store walkthroughs to ensure tasks are executed correctly and provide follow-through feedback.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate order receiving and positive working relationships.
  • Monitor and adjust stock levels of materials, supplies, and merchandise.
  • Model teamwork by being punctual and assisting during peak periods or challenges.
