About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Columbus Coatings, located in Columbus, Ohio, is hiring a Shift Manager Operations. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities in the operation site, supervising hourly crews, and improving overall efficiency by proper utilization of the resources and all of its components. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Schedules routine activities.
  • Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans
  • Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives.
  • Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices
  • Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans
  • Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits
  • Leads employees' training and performance review programs.
  • Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned
