Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Cash Operations, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, is responsible for the collection, sorting, counting and recording of gaming results and the overall operation and maintenance of the Soft Count Room and currency counting equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent as well as five (5) years supervising a money room or count room or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must be computer literate which includes operation of a windows computer, excel, word, and custom in house programs.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the safeguarding of the Company’s assets.
  • Directs the collection, sorting, counting and recording of gaming results, the transfer of funds to the vault, and the overall operation and maintenance of the Soft Count Room and currency counting equipment.
  • Reports all variances to the Director of Cash Operations.
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Conduct personal behavior and select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Demonstrate commitment to assisting in the development of Seminole Tribe members participating in the Tribal Career Development program and, when a Seminole Tribe member’s assignment falls within your direct area of responsibility, act as a personal mentor/career advisor to the Tribe Member and submit progress reports and information to the Director of Tribal Development.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations. Ensure appropriate staffing levels to best manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding guest service.
  • Stay abreast of the current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and team members as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and positive work atmosphere.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
