The Shift Lead is responsible for store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring the store is prepared for business. This role involves managing product returns, voids, refunds, and providing change. A key aspect is delivering and modeling a distinctive customer experience, engaging with customers, resolving issues, and coaching team members on service best practices. Operationally, the Shift Lead assists with warehouse and vendor ordering, maintains accurate inventory, ensures compliance with pricing and outdate programs, and helps with bookkeeping and store maintenance. They are also expected to have working knowledge of store systems and equipment, assist at the Pharmacy out window, and ensure compliance with laws regarding regulated products. The Shift Lead acts as a liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating tasks and reporting disciplinary issues or customer complaints.
