About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Level 1 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) endorsement for basic core skills.
  • Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) seminar provided by the agency, with ability to apply and perform CPI techniques.
  • American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Valid Michigan driver and chauffeur license or ability to obtain chauffeur license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control and security of the facility, while applying Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) and Cognitive Behavioral Theory interventions to various client circumstances.
  • Support all Youth Care Workers on their shifts, by providing direction, guidance, and implementation of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Cognitive Behavioral Theory interventions with clients.
  • Implement daily schedules and assignments with client units.
  • Dispense medication to clients and maintain records, as indicated by their physicians.
  • Provide coverage of shifts for Youth Care Workers in the event of an emergency.
  • Review site and unit logs, medical waivers, incident reports, and other internal communications.
  • Communicate significant information to treatment team members and Youth Care Worker Supervisors and Lead Supervisor through written and verbal communication.
  • Attend team meetings to review and update individual client and group objectives, as scheduled by site management.
  • Review and approve Incident Reports before submitting to Program Manager
  • Demonstrate proficiency in WHS technology platforms and applications.
  • Participate in WHS internal and external professional development.
  • Function as a mandated reporter, as required by Michigan Child Protection Law.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
