The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is looking for a Shelter Director for the Lindemann Inn shelters which include a 60 bed co-ed and a 20 bed women’s state operated shelter for DMH eligible homeless men and women. You will be responsible to ensure that program operates in accordance with DMH policies, procedures, MAP regulations, laws and guidelines. You will ensure that the program’s operating mission assures client’s access to services and facilitates individuals in meeting their mental health needs that enable them to live, work and actively participate in their communities by promoting recovery in working partnerships with individuals, families, providers and other state agencies. As the Shelter Director you are responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision in accordance with all Human Resources Division guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that the program operates in a cost effective manner, maintains adequate staffing and scheduling, and ensures that appropriate personnel are assigned to perform all aspects of program operations. The shelter director is responsible to facilitate efforts to achieve management goals to decrease length of stay in the program, promote successful permanent housing outcomes, and contribute to facilitating discharges from continuing care patient facilities. You are also responsible for ensuring adherence to MAP including overseeing staff training and certification, compliance with MAP regulations, adherence to DPH reporting, and system of quality control.
