About The Position

Supplemental Role: Staff Trainer and Operations Support In addition to core advocate responsibilities, this position includes serving as a Staff Trainer to support the onboarding and continued competency of team members. The trainer will play a key role in ensuring that all staff understand and consistently follow shelter procedures and daily operational expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding and training for new staff, providing clear instruction on policies, procedures, and day-to-day operations of the shelter
  • Conduct ongoing training and refresher sessions for current staff to reinforce best practices, address knowledge gaps, and ensure compliance with updated procedures.
  • Support the development and maintenance of training materials and guides to support staff learning and performance.
  • Monitor staff adherence to established protocols and inform management when staff require additional coaching.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs, recommend improvements, and implement effective training strategies.
  • Serve as a resource for staff questions related to procedures, workflows, and operational expectations.
  • Promote consistency, accountability, and a high standard of care in all aspects of facility operations.
