About The Position
We are hiring a Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our shop in Largo, FL! Hours of operation would be Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm in our shop! Why BCH? What you will be doing: This individual will be responsible for being proficient in all styles of duct (spiral, galvanized, rectangular, double-wall, SnD, etc.) General knowledge of piping and controls, AC install, retrofit, fiberboard Responsible for working with fiberglass, plastics, and other nonmetallic materials Measure and cut appropriate size of sheet metal, as well as install preassemble duct Interpret blueprints and complete layouts if necessary Use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications
Requirements
- 1-2+ years in commercial duct installation
- Ability to understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
