MRP is searching for passionate and agile Sheeter Operator who is a problem-solver and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As an Operator in the Sheeting Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team by running the Sheeter machine to provide the correct type and quantity of paper stock for the press room. Requirements

  • Passionate and positive “can do” attitude and loves to solve problems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence to work on a large machine.
  • Possess an ability to work together as a Sheeter Team and embrace how your job impacts the whole team. You are the person “behind the scenes” making it happen.
  • Can accept feedback and use it to grow in your position.
  • Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills.
  • Excellent endurance to stand and move about the work area all day.
  • Must know how to measure.
  • Must become certified to operate the following equipment. We train on the job!
  • Clamp Truck
  • Motorized Hand Truck

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a printing company
  • Forklift certification
  • GED or High School Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Make-ready all sections of the sheeter.
  • Make-ready production runs achieving proper length and width; operate sheeter in a manner that achieves high quality cut sheets.
  • Adjust and change slitting, anvil and chopping knives.
  • Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system.
  • Off load sheeted stock and preserve as directed (wrap and store).
  • Run auto count and print flow to make sure accurate counts are running for each item.
  • Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of the sheeter.
  • Identify deficiencies of the sheeter; order needed parts and assist in machine repairs.
