Sheet Metal Superintendent – Columbia, SC Walker White Mechanical, a leading mechanical contractor serving South Carolina, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to provide strong field leadership on our commercial projects. Your Role As a Sheet Metal Superintendent, you’ll oversee all field operations related to sheet metal installation, leading crews responsible for ductwork and HVAC system installation on commercial projects. You’ll coordinate daily activities, manage workflow and schedules, enforce safety standards, and work closely with project managers, engineers, and general contractors to keep projects on track. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and develop sheet metal mechanics and installers. You’ll interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, monitor project progress, and ensure all installations meet company standards and industry requirements. Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in commercial sheet metal or ductwork installation
Previous experience supervising or leading mechanical or sheet metal crews
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, shop drawings, and mechanical specifications
Proven ability to manage materials, coordinate with multiple trades, and meet demanding project schedules
A safety-first mindset with working knowledge of OSHA regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
