YOUR DAY AS OUR SHEET METAL INSTALLER In this entry-level role, you'll work with more experienced technicians to complete accurate and efficient installation projects. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Reading and following blueprints to select the correct type of metal and accurately fabricate, assemble, and install products according to specifications Accurately installing pipes, HVAC ductwork, rain gutters, and more Fabricating HVAC system components while ensuring maximum efficiency Using various tools (rulers, scribers, calculators, etc.) to accurately measure and mark materials Using hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints Carefully soldering, welding, and caulking joints, seams, bolts, and metal driver clips Wearing all safety equipment and following all safety procedures Loading/unloading materials, transporting ductwork sections, and setting up/breaking down the work area

Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy tools (50 to 100 lbs.), work in all temperatures, and regularly bend/climb/squat throughout the day
  • Ability to accurately read and follow blueprints and drawings
  • Team spirit and the ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent math skills
  • Familiarity with tools like tin snips, tape measures, and impact drills
  • High school degree or GED

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of sheet metal-related experience
  • OSHA 10 certification (or higher)
  • Working knowledge of building codes and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Reading and following blueprints to select the correct type of metal and accurately fabricate, assemble, and install products according to specifications
