About The Position

The Sheet Metal Fabricator-III is responsible for a variety of shop related duties involving the fabrication of sheet metal parts used in production, prototype, and other sheet metal assemblies.

Requirements

• People in the Sheet Metal Fabrication-I job classification must be able to read engineering drawings, routers, and precision measuring tools
• Own or be willing to purchase all necessary tools of the trade
• Perform manufacturing processes involving any or all the following:
• Material Shearing/Handling
• CNC Turret Punch
• CNC Laser
• CNC Press Brake
• Fastener Insertion
• Spot Welding
• MIG/TIG Welding
• Machine Maintenance
• Miscellaneous Shop Duties
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of fabricating experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• React to out-of-control conditions specified in the LECO Quality Management Plan
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformity
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
• Identify and record any product quality problems
• Verify the implementation of solutions
• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
• Inspect parts that they manufacture and perform the related data entry
