About The Position

Temp Mechanical assembly of aircraft interior products, work includes but not limited to sheet metal fabrication, and/or mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly by performing the following duties. Essential Functions: Measures parts to determine specified tolerance Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, and spot faces bolt holes in parts Must be proficient in using most hand operated tools Follows written instructions, note and dimensions on drawings Ability to follow the redline process for drawing errors Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together Disassembles and replaces parts as required Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies Marks identifying information on parts Have a working knowledge of proper riveting techniques Proficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc. Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structure Perform soldering and crimping operations Tests functional performance of assembly Share knowledge and techniques to help others progress

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in using most hand operated tools
  • Ability to follow the redline process for drawing errors
  • Have a working knowledge of proper riveting techniques
  • Proficient in modifying parts per the drawings i.e.: cut, drill, radius, etc.
  • Able to identify required dash numbers in a drawing structure
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Have basic knowledge of the use and maintenance of common shop tools
  • High school diploma or GED and five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
