Shear Operator - 3rd shift
About The Position
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for operating the shear machine. Essential Duties: Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet’s finish. Monitor the lint house for proper operation. Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides. Must fill in as technician as needed. Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements: Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stoop. Close vision and good hearing required. Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations. Must participate in group stretching prior to shift. Other Requirements: Must be applicable to all JHA’s.
