About The Position

SMX is seeking a SharePoint Developer to lead the architecture, governance, and administration of SharePoint environments supporting the SOCOM SOF AT&L Program Office for Tactical Information Systems. This role is critical in ensuring that Special Operations Forces support personnel have seamless, secure access to information across SOCOM domains. This position requires a DoD secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Requirements

  • Required clearance: DoD Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Experience: 5+ years in SharePoint Administration/Management, with at least 3 years supporting a DoD Combatant Command (COCOM) or major PEO
  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Server (2016/2019) and SharePoint Online
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell for automation
  • Power Platform App Maker Associate or SharePoint Server certification
  • Excellent communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice To Haves

  • TS/SCI Eligible
  • Previous SOF affiliation or experience supporting USSOCOM programs
  • Familiarity with government property handling

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce SharePoint governance policies, including site structure, permissions, and data retention, specifically tailored to SOCOM’s unique mission sets
  • Lead the transition from legacy on-premises SharePoint 2019 environments to SharePoint Online (SPO) within the Microsoft 365 / DoD Cloud (IL5/IL6)
  • Oversee the development of Power Platform solutions (PowerApps, Power Automate) to automate manual DIR-EIS workflows and PEO-TIS reporting
  • Ensure all SharePoint instances meet DISA STIG requirements and remain compliant with RMF (Risk Management Framework) standards
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for PEO-TIS and DIR-EIS leadership, providing briefings on system health, user adoption, and roadmap milestones
