About The Position

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of the organization’s SharePoint platform. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and usability of SharePoint environments while supporting collaboration and content management needs. The administrator works closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and end-users to deliver a secure and efficient platform aligned with organizational requirements.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance: SECRET
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certification: CompTia Security+ CE or CySA+.
  • Microsoft SharePoint AND Microsoft SharePoint Online AND Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (current MS-offered equivalent is acceptable)
  • 3+ years of experience administering SharePoint environments.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration tools and PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint migrations and upgrades.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) if in a military environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage SharePoint servers, including troubleshooting and resolving server issues.
  • Ensure the platform is updated and maintained for optimal performance and security.
  • Collect user requirements and advise on SharePoint design, configuration, and installation.
  • Direct configuration, redesign, migration, and maintenance processes for databases and resources.
  • Plan and design application infrastructure in collaboration with developers and infrastructure teams.
  • Configure connectivity services for databases and service applications.
  • Create and maintain content databases; compress and maintain logging databases.
  • Create security groups and assign appropriate access for site users.
  • Configure anonymous access when required and administer user changes.
  • Review accounts, internet sites, files, and server usage for compliance and security.
  • Work with network, storage, and server teams to ensure proper setup and integration.
  • Collaborate with developers for custom solutions and application enhancements.
