About The Position

Corpay is currently seeking a Shared Services Senior Accountant in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will be an instrumental component in the company's Accounting Department and regularly collaborate with Divisional & Business Team Leadership, Treasury, and Divisional Controllers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA track preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in accounting roles preferably obtained in a large or complex organization with large volume of activity – public accounting experience a plus
  • Inter-company experience highly desirable.
  • Interest in process improvement and IT system implementation projects.
  • Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, well-developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively communicate to all levels of an organization when necessary.
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and up-to-date skills in ERP, EPM and DB systems.
  • Demonstrated background and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines timely and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented individual with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Desire to work in a complex, large-scale accounting and finance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including timely preparation of journal entries for expenses, balancing of inter-company activity, expense accruals and adherence with close calendar.
  • Ensure accurate capitalization of fixed assets and lease accounting, as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making processes, as assigned.
  • Record depreciation expenses for fixed assets in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare, analyze and investigate discrepancies for account reconciliations in BlackLine a timely manner for cash and liability accounts, intercompany, leases, fixed assets and others, as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Support internal and external audit queries to ensure a clean and timely year end audit for all areas of responsibility.
  • Partnering with and being a liaison with other departments on analyzing financial balances, problem resolution, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests related to revenue, providing insights and recommendations to management and participating in special projects and performing other related duties as assigned.
