POSITION SUMMARY: The Shampoo Assistant delivers outstanding customer service while providing high quality shampoo and conditioning treatments by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Welcomes members and guests as they enter the Salon and assist as needed to keep the flow of the salon, including hair, nail and spa clients. Prepares the shampoo area including shampoo, conditioning treatment, towels, washcloths, and other items needed for each client’s service. Combs through hair with a pick or comb to remove tangles before shampooing. Prepare client’s hair, washes hair, apply conditioner and rinses thoroughly. Cleans up after each shampoo service by disposing of towels and linens used during the service. Maintains cleanliness and presentation of the salon floor, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Maintain Shampoo bowls and bottles clean at all times. Organizes and restocks supplies as needed. Promotes a visually appealing environment. Sets coffee bar with fresh coffee, cookies, and dishware. Washes, folds and arranges salon towels and robes in attractive displays. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be Multitask oriented. Must be attention to detail oriented. Any additional duties requested by the Salon & Spa Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager. Grooming All employees are required to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. (Specific grooming standards are available.) Nails should be maintained in clean condition. Hair must be neat and tidy.
