About The Position

Manage, support and perform a variety of operational activities with various levels of complexity; meeting production and quality standards while adhering to complex regulatory, investor and Truist requirements. Exercise judgement while handling financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy. Ensure operational objectives of the team are being achieved. There is a 5 day in-office expectation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics, or equivalent education and related training or experience
  • Five or more years of Experience in a related field.
  • Advanced understanding of Arithmetic and Accounting concepts (concepts, not rules).
  • Ability to work in changing and high volume environment.
  • Professional Oral and Written Communication Skills.
  • Advanced Level Computer Skills, such as Microsoft Office, web conferencing, and other software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, ask questions, and comprehend new or complex matters.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage time wisely and work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Root cause analysis to identify causes of problems and provide potential solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of operations analysts to ensure timely completion of all work while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Identify Risk Exposure in Processes and Escalate as needed.
  • Increase position knowledge by participating in training and development.
  • Performs work with autonomy and completes other duties as assigned while demonstrating Truist values.
  • Understand and articulate the fundamental Mortgage Servicing concepts as they pertain to the team’s policy and procedures.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners as applicable to resolve issues and/or questions.
  • Review processes and procedures to provide ongoing enhancement to improve productivity and quality.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring new teammates.
  • Support LOB Manager by being the subject matter expert as it relates to your LOB; provide assistants with internal and external audit requests, including the formulation of audit responses to regulators, investors, and auditors, both internal and external.
  • Delegate assignments, projects, as necessary, to analysts based on complexity and working knowledge.
  • Serve as project/process expert and serve as a mentor to the operations team.
