Sewing Machine Operator
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Bensalem. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality garments and textile products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production workflows, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of orders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sewing machine operation and sewing techniques, with a commitment to precision and safety in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing processes
- Familiarity with various types of sewing machines and their maintenance requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing settings that require attention to detail and quality control
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, patterns, and work orders effectively
- Experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, automotive interiors, or fabric production.
- Knowledge of various stitch types and sewing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate various industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish garments according to specifications and production schedules
- Follow detailed sewing instructions, patterns, and quality standards to ensure consistent product quality
- Inspect finished products for defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process
- Assist in setting up sewing machines, including threading, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear during all operations
