Sewer I Job Summary: This position is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines used in the manufacture of filtration products.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to read English
Must be able to utilize and read measurement devices
Basic mathematics
Ability to interpret production drawings and production bill of materials.
Good hand and eye coordination
Flexibility to be able to work in other sewing processes
Ability to use computer

Nice To Haves

Prefer 1 year of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain sewing equipment and related parts in accordance with operating standards.
Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and while following quality guidelines.
Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread and needles, mounting necessary attachments and double checking settings before start of producing.
Ensure integrity and quality of product in accordance with quality standards.
Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make adjustments to the machine as needed to prevent quality issues.
Record accurately all information into the production system once product count is complete. This includes number of pieces completed during each work order during shift.
Trouble shoot machine and schedule maintenance on equipment as needed.
Comply with OSHA regulation as well as Menardi safety policies and procedures.
Comply with ISO processes and procedures to maintain certification.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Reliable and punctual attendance .
Performs other duties as assigned.
