About The Position

Perform set-up of work centers, processing of material, and troubleshooting equipment, as well as assisting other setup technicians with these tasks. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER: Experience/Ability to use hand/power tools such as tape measures/wrenches/drills/etc.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply basic mathematical skills such addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and monitor all work centers and auxiliary equipment within the department in accordance with procedures and make necessary adjustments to achieve a part that meets all specifications.
  • Assist Senior Process Specialist with new tooling validations as needed.
  • Assist with production issues relating to equipment/processing of material/maintenance.
  • Interpret blueprints, customer specifications and job orders.
  • Monitor work center capabilities and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling, machine and processing malfunctions and report issues to Senior Process Specialist.
  • Perform applicable maintenance of machinery and complete all necessary paperwork associated with this duty.
  • Navigate through Brentwood Intranet ISO drive to obtain and properly complete all necessary paperwork and forms needed for production.
  • Maintain department housekeeping/ and 5S program requirements.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices rules in alignment with QMS / EMS requirements.
  • Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance with Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.
