Areas of Focus A Set-Up Operator prepares, calibrates, and operates industrial machinery, ensuring equipment runs efficiently to produce parts that meet precise technical blueprints and quality standards. They are responsible for tooling changes, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role
Proficient in Microsoft software products (Excel and Word) and any department specific computer programs
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Good writing and communication skills
Forklift Driver Certified
Knowledge of Hand Tools
Basic computer skills
Forklift certified

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 5 years as an Assembly Operator

Responsibilities

Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE
Understand & practice the Quality policy
Perform all set up and change-over
Must be familiar with set up on all equipment: Intercell Welder (Front/Mid/Back)
Shear/Short Tester (Front/Mid/Back)
Hydroseal (2 head & 3 head) (Front/Mid/Back)
Post Welder (Back Line)
Air Testers (Front/Mid/Back)
Material Staging
First article processing through the Burst Test
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Maintain Logs and Records
Understand Work instructions and know where they are posted
Follow and maintain Lean activities (5S, housekeeping, hygiene, etc)
Be at work station on time
Leave work station on time, unless otherwise instructed by your Team Lead/supervisor
Other duties as assigned
Comply with Blood Lead health and Hygiene Protocols
Understand and comply with correct lifting procedures which enable lifting up to 50 lbs
Comply with Hazard communication procedures
Must follow all Ergonomic recommendations and safety procedures
