About The Position

CompX Grayslake is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand part specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
Experience with various CNC machine types (mills, lathes, etc.)
Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with DMG Mori Lathes and Mills a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor machine operation during production runs, identifying and addressing potential issues.
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure part quality meets specifications.
Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain consistent quality.
Document production data and maintain quality control records.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when operating CNC machines.
