About The Position

Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading global manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications. POSITION: Set-up Coolant Outlets / Inlets / Shank Flats HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Mill Holder Supervisor ROLE: To effectively setup and run coolant outlets, coolant inlets, shank flats/drive notch, and shank work as directed by schedule or supervisor on either CNC or manual machines.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Working Knowledge in the manufacture of Holders.
• Previous experience in the coolant outlet operation.
• Experience in the use of Calipers, scale, gage pins, optical comparator, bench centers, height stand and indicators.
• Good organization, communication, and planning skills
• Lifting of 32lbs
• On feet for 8-12 hrs.
• Ability to read Indictors, Micrometers, Optical Comparators and Calipers
• Ability for follow schedules

Responsibilities

• Make changes to Macro Variables in programs.
• Change modular tooling out
• Perform cutter changes as needed
• Effectively setup and run parts to print dimensions within the cell
• Inspect parts for Quality
• Observe and report any areas that need addressed
• Process orders according to appropriate schedule and/or supervisor’s direction, and properly stage product for the next operation.
• Associate shall maintain the appropriate tool kit per the "Associate Tool Policy".
