About our property: Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort set on 175 acres, featuring treehouses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. With over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space, it’s a premier destination for retreats, conferences, and celebrations. The Set-Up Attendant is responsible for setting up for upcoming events while maintaining hotel’s standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves prioritizing and organizing work assignments, adapting to last-minute changes, transporting equipment, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The position starts as seasonal and has the ability to become year-round depending on performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Someone who is at least 18 years of age
  • Washington State Food Worker’s Card or ability to obtain
  • MAST Card or ability to obtain
  • Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
  • Ability to be on your feet majority of the day, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.
  • Someone who is comfortable with being able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. at shoulder height and frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to have a flexible schedule and work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Sets up for upcoming events while maintaining hotel’s standards, policies, and procedures with assigned staff.
  • Prioritize & organize work assignments and adhere to timelines in completion of setups.
  • Adapt to last minute changes, workflow, or requirements.
  • Transport equipment, IE tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums, and other banquet/meeting room equipment.
  • Ability to operate and remain extremely alert while operating designated equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Enforce all safety and security measures as outlined by hotel management and protect company assets.
  • Review banquet event orders and check in with supervisor for instructions for current functions and sets assigned.
  • Greet all guests in a courteous manner, displaying a helpful attitude and providing exception customer service.
  • Ensure guests are provided with conference needs and requests in a timely manner.
  • Unload trays and carts in the service area and keep areas neat, clean, and stocked.
  • Complete closings procedures break down event set ups.
  • Report hazardous conditions or broken equipment to the Maintenance Department immediately.
