The David H. Koch Center at our New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell campus, sets a new standard in personalized outpatient care. This Infusion Center provides expert breast and gynecologic oncology care by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches. This 750,000-square foot, multi-specialty Center is designed to accommodate the latest technologies and features many innovations in the delivery of care to meet patients’ expectations in new ways. Session Assistants support the day-to-day operations of the DHK Breast Practice and Infusion Center. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Additionally, obtain all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information and enter in appropriate computer systems. Assist patients to sign up for hospital and physicians electronic portal. You may also perform notification phone calls to relay procedure or surgery preparation information. You will also schedules patients’ appointment with multiple specialties including exams and medical procedures as requested. Schedule surgery encounters and coordinate OR location and times with OR scheduling teams. Interface with referring provider offices and internal departments to schedule these appointments. Most importantly, you will be the reassuring presence for the patients' needs as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a full-time, day shift position.

Requirements

  • 1 year of clerical experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Telephone skills
  • Computer skills
  • Customer service experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Coding: ICD 10
