About The Position

The Insurance Services Specialist will report to the Insurance Supervisor and is responsible for reviewing reports and working tasks on a daily basis to monitor our insurance vendor.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have at least 1 - 2 years of knowledge in escrow – Insurance, Loss Draft, Flood Services.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of mortgage experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSP, with at least 3 years recent experience working with MSP.
  • History of reliable attendance.
  • Combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the essential job functions.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to achieve goals.
  • Handle simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including other business units, managers, subject matter experts, and third-party business partners.
  • Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred background in escrow mortgage servicing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work insurance reports daily, monthly, or bi-monthly to monitor our insurance vendor disburses premiums timely or letters are sent out timely according to the business rules and investor guidelines.
  • Review reports to ensure all loans in a flood zone have flood coverage and meet flood guidelines.
  • Works insurance, flood, and loss draft related tasks within MSP.
  • Address and log escalations on hazard, loss draft, and flood issues for inquiries, disputes, and complaints to ensure they are handled within specified timelines.
  • Communicates with borrowers and or agents as necessary to resolve inquiries.
  • Works with the supervisor to identify, define, and implement process changes.
