The Services Manager will be responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting Customer Service, Logistics, Procurement, Materials and Production Planning teams by exceeding goals by monitoring and controlling: day-to-day customer service activities, logistics/shipments, customer support/communication, Purchasing, Materials and scheduling of production orders to meet the needs of the Customer.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years manufacturing (Scheduling/Planning/Service background required)
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience.  Strong communication and negotiation skills required
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed
  • Occasional travel as needed regionally and internationally
  • Must be able to use the following computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detailed oriented, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred (not required)
  • Technical Training preferred.
  • Industrial Safety Training preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees in the day-to-day operations for effective work in the 5 areas: purchasing, customer service, logistics, product development and planning.
  • Maintain and improve customer service and support through effective communication with internal and external parties.
  • Directly interface w/ customers as well as members of the sales team.
  • Manage order priorities, backlog, and customer escalations. Align supply chain execution with customer service expectations.
  • Control reporting of order intake, backlog, and on time & complete deliveries.
  • Where applicable, maintain contractual agreements with customers.  Where not applicable, support implementation of these agreements.
  • Focus on efficiently running the production schedule to drive OEE and general plant efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with demand and capacity. Coordinate with manufacturing teams on schedule changes. Monitor schedule adherence and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Operations team to ensure process flow requirements are met in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain Raw Materials (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) inventory to appropriate levels.
  • Establish inventory control policies including safety stock and cycle counting. Minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Oversee MRP processes to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements.
  • Actively monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize freight and transportation costs. Ensure compliance with shipping and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilities and Maintenance Scope: responsible for maintaining facilities upkeep and equipment maintenance related to warehouse racking, dock doors and powered lift trucks.
  • Train, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing employees).
  • Conduct performance evaluations which include yearly performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Maintain all required logs and reporting documents and adhere to all SHE regulations, procedures, and policies.
  • Enforces company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Polices (GMPs).
  • Control labor expenses associated with the affected areas.
  • Provide support for on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure competition compliance with respect to this position and interactions therein.
  • Maintain a positive working environment among employees.
  • Reviews, updates, and approves employee’s timesheets.
  • Participate in monthly update/review meetings.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
