About The Position

The ServiceNow Intern will assist the ServiceNow Administrators and project team with tasks such as documentation, testing, validation of configuration changes, and helping create reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior, or master level status, or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months.
  • Major in Computer Information Systems or a major that blend business, systems or communications.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 GPA or greater preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with IT teams, service owners, and business users to understand problems, gather requirements, and translate needs into clear, structured statements.
  • Shadow administrators to learn how requirements influence configuration, workflow changes, and reporting.
  • Participate in design discussions with ServiceNow administrators and assist in small configuration tasks (e.g., updating fields, forms, and views) under guidance.
  • Help track changes in JIRA or similar tools to support planning and sprint reviews.
  • Build and maintain basic dashboards using data from ITSM modules, utilizing Performance Analytics widgets, scorecards, and breakdowns to visualize trends.
  • Monitor and adjust dashboards accuracy; automate recurring reports and support ad-hoc reporting requests to understand trends and ensure data refreshes properly.
  • Summarize findings in easy‑to‑read bullet points that leadership can use to support decision‑making.
  • Create step-by-step instructions for new features and updates, including quick‑start guides and short training slides to document configuration updates so administrators and future analysts have historical knowledge of changes.
  • Deliver training walkthroughs for small user groups, gather feedback, and refine materials based on user needs.
  • Assist in maintaining a library of training resources for repeatable access.
  • Execute test scripts and log results for new features, identifying and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps; validating fixes before production and support occasional release activities.
