PCG is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Developer to join our team in Lenexa, KS. The ServiceNow Software Developer will design, build, and customize applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on extending platform capabilities through scripting, automation and integrations to meet business needs while leveraging AI capabilities in ServiceNow.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience: 2+ years of ServiceNow development experience
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery
  • Able to work on-site full-time (1 day/week remote after 90 days)
  • Has strong knowledge of ServiceNow AI
  • Has strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture and scripting
  • Is proficient in JavaScript and Glide API
  • Has familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices
  • Has excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Performs code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Experience with ITSM, ITOM, or SAM modules
  • Exposure to integrations and API development
  • Previous ServiceNow Administrator duties is strongly desired to support for redundancy purposes
  • Local to the Kansas City Metro area

Responsibilities

  • Write client-side and server-side scripts (for example: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies)
  • Design and implement workflows and automation using Flow Designer or Workflow Editor
  • Customize forms, fields, and UI elements for optimal user experience
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Ensure compliance with development and governance standards
  • Support upgrades, apply patches, and maintain system health
  • Develop custom applications using ServiceNow Studio and App Engine
