Our work depends on a ServiceNow Developer joining our team to support integration and development improves to our ServiceNow platform, including broadening its impact through module expansion, platform integration, and automation. The ServiceNow Developer will be an important part of the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of our ServiceNow implementation; they will also work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices. Requirements

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree Required
  • 1+ year(s) of related experience
  • Solid skills using the ServiceNow platform: developing APIs via script includes, a competency of client and server APIs beyond just Glide record (i.e. Ajax, date/time, various utilities on developer portal, etc.), Service Portal work leveraging Angular, mobile, integration hub, et al
  • Experience with full SDLC responsibilities leveraging mature industry languages, with a particular emphasis on JavaScript
  • Solid developer experience independent of the ServiceNow platform
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust to start
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail; a high bar for quality results.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel with an awareness for evolving prioritization.
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Ensures overall systems availability via good design/best practices, thorough testing, promotion of discipline, and responsiveness in root cause analysis
  • Partners with leadership to maintain and drive towards an aggressive platform roadmap
  • Demos platform capabilities to shape what is possible/recommended. Takes initiative rather than orders; rapidly prototypes new solutions
  • Interacts with platform customers and translates their business requirements into actionable development tasks
  • Reliably estimates relative work effort for various requests for self/team to enable prioritization
  • Serves as critical ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementing/using best practices pertaining to workflows, integration, configuration, customization, orchestration, access controls, et al
  • Prepares and executes unit test cases and test scripts; supports user acceptance testing
  • Proactively stays on top of new capabilities in the platform and educates team members and customers on innovations in functionality
  • Handles other duties as assigned
