About The Position

Review and update the Design for Service expectations. Work closely with product development teams to communicate Design for Service expectations. Responsible for the Service deliverables of the Product Development Process / Technology Development Process (PDP/TDP) process.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)
  • Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or certificate in electronics, applied automotive technology or related field and 3 – 5 years maintaining company manufactured equipment.
  • Good managerial, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform serviceability studies to achieve Design for Service intent and communicate serviceability study results to include warranty and service performance of current model to New Product Development Team.
  • Participate in regular project cadence meetings.
  • Provide average repair times of new systems to Warranty Administrator.
  • Actively participate in service part forecasting.
  • Participate in field test site selection and qualification visits.
  • Review, create, collaborate, and approve technical support content for new product release to include Design Validation (DV), Manufacturing Check Sample (MCS) and production level service manuals,
  • Planned Maintenance Inspection checklists,
  • Recommended stock lists, InfoPoint Quick Reference Guide and labels, Video and other media.
  • Facilitate meetings to officially handoff product to current product SPM within three months of production launch.
  • Perform internal meeting to familiarize Call Center staff with new product.
  • Provide input to Corporate Service trainers for new product training development.
  • Provide service support to dealers/branches with test trucks in their territory and actively participate in test site follow up visits.
  • Provide test truck service documentation and truck location information to Call Center support personnel.
