About The Position

We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our service department. The ideal candidate will be the key liaison between our customers and service technicians—providing clear communication, ensuring accurate repair orders, and delivering an efficient, friendly, and informative service experience.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or similar role preferred.
  • Automotive knowledge and/or dealership experience highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using dealership management systems (CDK experience a plus).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Accurately document vehicle concerns and write service repair orders.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure thorough diagnosis and repair.
  • Provide cost estimates, obtain customer approvals, and explain services performed.
  • Monitor the progress of repairs and proactively communicate updates to customers.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up.
  • Upsell recommended maintenance and repairs when appropriate.
  • Close out repair orders and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with parts and service teams to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
