About The Position

Vallely Sport & Marine is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Service Writer & Parts Representative to join our Parts and Service Team. This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by supporting both the service advisor function and the parts counter operation for our marine and powersports customers. This role requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a marine, powersports, automotive, or similar service/parts environment preferred
  • General understanding of boats, pontoons, ATVs, side-by-sides, motorcycles, or related products is a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with computers, service software, and manufacturer portals
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Marine or powersports industry experience
  • Prior service writer, service advisor, or parts counter experience
  • Warranty processing experience with OEM manufacturers

Responsibilities

  • Schedule customer service and repair appointments for marine and powersports products
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers from check-in through completion
  • Proactively communicate repair status updates, timelines, and recommendations to customers
  • Open, manage, and close service repair orders accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with service technicians to ensure proper job flow and prioritization
  • Assist with warranty repair orders, including: Submitting warranty claims, Managing manufacturer communication, Ensuring proper documentation and claim compliance
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist customers at the parts counter with marine and powersports parts, accessories, and merchandise
  • Identify, locate, and order parts accurately for customer needs and service department work orders
  • Fulfill parts requests for service technicians to keep workflow moving efficiently
  • Receive, stock, and organize parts inventory
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and well-organized parts displays and merchandising
  • Assist with accessory and product upselling when appropriate
  • Process parts sales transactions accurately through the dealership management system
  • Support daily operations of the Parts & Service departments
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory control
  • Provide a professional, friendly, and solutions-oriented customer experience
  • Assist with other department duties as needed to support team success
