About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Service Warehouse Technician to join the DPC (Starline) Team in Canonsburg, PA. The Service Warehouse Technician role will require a highly qualified individual to perform service re-work and testing on Starline’s full complement of products. Warehouse Technician will support the service team with service inventory, repair, shipping, and loadbank rental fleet.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Basic Microsoft Windows/Office experience – Word, Excel and Outlook in particular
  • Learn and become familiar with all Starline product lines.
  • Must have forklift training.
  • Must have knowledge of operating cutting equipment such as saws
  • Must have knowledge of standard 3-phase wiring and assembly methods of electrical equipment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone
  • Basic knowledge of network communication protocols (Telnet, SNMP, BACnet, etc..)
  • Service Warehouse Technician Experience using power and hand tools
  • Basic knowledge and experience working on electrical components
  • Willingness to complete mandated training and certification programs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs daily.
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.
  • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

Responsibilities

  • Rework and retest customer equipment
  • Complete detailed field reports for all reworks with photographs and test results
  • Coordinate all logistics for receiving and shipping service equipment
  • Inventory of service equipment including rental loadbanks
  • Inspecting, repairing, and testing returned rental loadbanks
  • Enter rework reports into Field Service Salesforce system and others as needed
  • Monitoring inventory of safety stock items
  • Support our field service team with meter support. Meter programming and networking support via phone with customers.
  • Knowledge of terminal emulator programs like PuTTY and Telnet.
  • Interact well with customers while being professional and respectful while trouble shooting.
