Truck Technicians are crucial to Mesa's operations, responsible for manufacturing the company's specialized work trucks. These technicians ensure that trucks are built to standard in a safe and efficient manner, constantly seeking ways to improve quality and the manufacturing process, and are expected to be innovative and strive for excellence.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent.
  • Experienced with various power tools.
  • Experience working with hands in a shop environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Understanding and familiarity of basic hand tools.
  • Understanding of standard and metric systems.
  • Understanding of electricity and associated hazards.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.
  • Ability to work under stress in high pressure situations.
  • Able to handle frequent interruptions and handle conflict in an effective manner.
  • Possess the ability to be a team player.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Possess a positive and energetic self-starter attitude, with excellent drive, ambition and work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and maintain deadlines.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
  • Will be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • Must be able to pass a WorkSTEPS physical.
  • Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Customer focuses attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school graduate with engine and mechanical focus.
  • Honorably discharged service veterans preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for manufacturing all Mesa's specialized work trucks.
  • Maintains accurate accountability of all parts used during the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that production schedules are met.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, friendly, & safe work environment.
  • Constantly looks for ways to improve the quality of these trucks along with the manufacturing process.
  • Performs all duties as assigned.
