Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
  • Proven experience in a technical or field service role, ideally with high voltage equipment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in English (Spanish or other languages a plus).
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with high voltage equipment such as High Voltage Breakers (Dead Tank, Live Tank), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), GCB (Generator Circuit Breaker), PASS (Plug & Switch System), High Voltage Disconnectors and Grounding Switches, Power Quality Equipment, and Digital Stations is a significant differentiator.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging technical training on high voltage equipment and safety protocols.
  • Lead training sessions for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Oversee the certification process for field service personnel.
  • Manage and maintain a state-of-the-art training center and its equipment.
  • Prepare and update comprehensive training documentation and bulletins.
  • Provide expert technical support and advice to field service teams.
  • Collaborate with business units to align training with company strategy.
  • Continuously enhance your own technical knowledge and certifications.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
