About The Position

Parallel Ag proudly carries quality fertilizer and application equipment plus a full-line of parts to help all farming operations. With well-known brands such as Apache Sprayer, Unverferth toolbars, Rayman tenders, Brehmer tenders, Simonsen fertilizer equipment and Kinze planters and grain carts, you won’t find a more extensive inventory of field-ready equipment. Customers come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly-motivated Service Technician to our team! The Technician will perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. The advanced Technician is categorized as such because he/she has learned an advanced skill set and has grown into a successful and competent technician. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.

Requirements

Greater than 3 years of experience is required
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Ability to perform basic to advanced repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and precision equipment
Ability to use basic computer functions
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Ability to work individually or with a team
Detail oriented
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment
Ability to work as a team, as well as alone to accomplish assigned tasks
Ability to speak effectively one on one
Ability to effectively listen
Ability to interpret customer needs
Basic computer skills
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Good organizational skills
Extended lengths of period standing
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Climbing in, on, under, and around various types of equipment
Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, crawling, pushing, and pulling
Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, with dignity and respect
Maintain positive relationships with customers, other employees and owners
Be early, flexible and available for scheduling

Responsibilities

Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural sprayers and other equipment
Participates in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Maintains current knowledge of New Holland sprayers and competitive products
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives
